Rachel & Raymon's Wedding Site



Rachel Shackelford grew up in Hawai‘i, went to the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, and now works for the Hawai‘i Undersea Research Lab. Raymon Orange grew up in New Zealand, got into the Point-of-Sale business and moved to Honolulu to expand the company.
Rachel & Raymon were both regulars at the Wave Waikiki nightclub... except he was always playing darts while she was always on the dancefloor, so they went several years without crossing paths. One night, Raymon broke from his routine and was upstairs when Rachel came in, ordered her usual from Ivan, and began to look around. Random chance led them to start talking... Raymon asked if Rachel was single, she said 'yes,' he said 'are you accepting applications for suitors?' That was the best line she had ever heard and the rest is history.
When Raymon first proposed the idea of marriage, Rachel thought he was joking since he brought it up in a very nonchalant way and was thinking of having the ceremony within a month of asking! After that, he always joked that it was her turn since he had already asked once. As their 5 yr anniversary approached, Rachel decided that maybe he was right. She went out and bought herself a ring, then presented it to Raymon as they discussed their future while looking out toward the ocean from the sunset bar of Dave & Busters.
